About our Wood
Beautiful hardwood paddles require beautiful hardwoods. We spend a lot of time thinking about the wood we want to use, and how to use it. Every paddle is a unique design. Wood that works in one size might not in another, so we do not simply carve out a paddle in a standard shape from any wood that comes by. In fact, we put a lot of thought into the weight, hardness, and resiliancy of the wood when we design a new paddle.
The quality of the wood is important too. We carefully select the most beautiful grain, figure and color of each wood, and only use dry woods free from defects and discolorations. A paddle must be strong and stable to stand up to proper use, so we don't skimp on materials.
When you receive one of our paddles, please know that we try hard to make sure that it will be the very best paddle we can make, its size and shape perfectly suited to the properties of the wood itself. We design our paddles for real use, their visual beauty is second only to the beauty of the feel in your hand as you swing.
